Funky
forms for interface designers.
Funky forms can help
you design better interfaces, or not.
Interface designers
often aren't aware of all the cool stuff forms can do for them. Here's
a few examples: (remember some of this stuff isn't exactly cross browser,
or even user-friendly from a usability point of view.)

1. Disabled dropdowns.
(IE only)
2. Different colors
in textfields.
3. visited links
in menu are greyed out.
menu1
menu 2
menu 3
menu 4
4. Second dropdown
adjusts immediately depending on first choice.

the excellent Lonely Planet website at www.lonelyplanet.com
5. Navigation that works
This type of navigation
works, usability wise. It's very powerfull in complex matrixes. (We tested
it for usability):
home
>
shoes
clothes
backpacks
And the next one would
be:
home
> shoes >
adidas
nike
And the next one:
home
> shoes > adidas > the amazing
adidas shoe.
after this you could
get funky with the matrix:
home
> adidas >
shoes
clothes
backpacks
and yes, it gets more
complex. But we'll discuss that another time.
