I´ve to extend my visa tomorrow but i read that Bancafe isn´t the place to go to pay anymore, Is this true? If so, which bank deals with this now?

tomtom33 says on Aug 21, 2008, 22:20: Have you thought about a Rentista VISA? If you apply before your Student VISA runs out, you do not have to leave the country. There is a service in MDE that could courier your stuff to BOG so you wouldn't have to go there. The Rentista is good for one year and essentially only requires that you show an income of US$2000 per month or US$24,000 in cash or securities. The numbers may be a little higher now.

tomtom33 says on Aug 22, 2008, 15:45: No, they are two different VISAs. Nothing in the Rentista VISA says anything about $24,000 either. It only said an income of $2000 per month. But I didn't want to show tax returns to anyone in Colombia, and I only have my investments as income. They accepted proof that I had better than $24,000 in a stock account.
