I added a new feature today: moderators can make certain posts sticky. Yey.

All I know is that when I tried to open the first sticky post it hosed up my computer so badly that I had to shut down and restart. NEVER AGAIN.

That's because it contains so many photos. It takes forever to open it on mine too.
Bill, a sticky post is a post that has been made to "stick", stay at the top of the page until one of the mods or Peter "unsticks" it. (Only the mods and Peter can make a post a sticky.)
The feature is widely used on discussion forums when the mods have something important to announce or there's a post that contains some very important information to users.

In other forums they call them "Pinned Posts", so they never move and are always on top.

Yeah Desi, I'm never opening that one post ever again.

Can we allow Bold Italic and blockquote tags? We already have IMG and OBJECT and EMBED.

We are experiencing confusion with he said she said. People are misinterpreting quoted material as belonging to the poster.

Peter you can embed in every post from the serversice closing tags for all three of these - in case the user forgets to close. This way the whole thread doesn't go bold or italic.
