Maria Full of Grace

Hi all.

I just saw this movie last night, after seeing mention of it on this forum. It is really very good. I can understand spanish, so I had the english subtext on and listened to the director talk about the movie.

I can't think of any movie in recent history that showed the plight of an immigrant girl in this way.

Issac I have not seen the movie you mentioned, but if you like "Maria" as much as I did, I guess I should see it.

Movie I did see the movie
and found it very realistic. Very subtle and also
complicated with interwoven themes .. it is an american and imigrant story as well as a Colombian story. I thought the lead actress did a'
great job of not overacting .. she was great..
It was realistic in the way it was filmed and also I liked how the
themes were not over discussed ... they were presented both in the dialogue and visually and then left out there.. it was effictive.
