The only problem is that their web site is not worth two cents, hardly ever works and is always responding that they have a problem. If there is anyone from Spirit Air that reads this site try WAKING UP your site is a peice of crap. What do you say PBHers?

That would be great....but there flights back on Monday are in the afternoon but at those prices I would jump on those in flash...No Medellin though but fly roundtrip to Bogota and then take an Aires flight into local Medellin airport...Was looking at Spirit a few weeks ago but ending up taking Avianca at 388.00 R/T to Medellin on a promotion and bought four of those babies for seperate dates...one leg though has to go thru Bogota the other leg can be direct...Spirit come on man get a route to MDE ...

I rather pay a regular fare in other know airline, the other day Spirit canceled about 10 flights coming out of FT. Lauderdale for no apparent reason, imagine you being in Bogota and not being able to get back here because they decide to cancel the flights?, I do not think I will ever fly in that ariline.

If I want to fly to Bogota from 11/12/2008 to 11/15/2008 Spirit will charge me US 332 if I take AA they will charge me US 506, that's US 174 difference, if I take two pieces of luggage I will have to pay US 50 dollars extra in Spirit, leaving a difference of US 124, that is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Great fares but this is why the pillow is gone and you pay for the bags and their is no meal and so on and so forth because so callled "low cost" carriers such as Southwest, Frontier, Ryan Air, Spirit, etc have come along with the much lower fare forcing the so called :legacy" carriers to do the same.

So, get off that flight and run to McDonalds to get a burger. That airline food was always crap anyway right? Sooner or later you get what you pay for.

I fly AA to Colombia BTW!

I just made our res. on Spirit for 10-16 to 10-26 to Bogota. If my flight down would be canceled I wouldn’t be a happy camper. On the other hand, if I had to spend several extra days in Bogota due to a problem, Bummer, extra vacation. ;) My only problem is that I need to take airtran from Pits. to Fll. The times didn’t match well so I opted to stay 1 night each way in Ft. Lauderdale rather than tempt fate at customs speeding us through to catch the flight. My wife has 2 cousins in FLL so we will have short visits.
It would have cost me an extra $500 to book through any other airline I found. With my total airtran and spirit flights I will spend about $1000 total for both myself and my wife.

This will actually be about $300 cheaper than when we went last year in October. Although more hastles in FLL.
