How to teach basic spanish?

Counting, not just in single digits (good for phone numbers) but also things like thousands, hundreds that will help when it comes to counting money in Colombia.

i'm doing just that I have just bought a great little phrase book from lonely planet called latin american spanish

i'm having lotsa fun telling my colombian boyfriend things in bad spanish... (i've only been learning a week!!!) he is great as he corrects me while laughing... must remember not to pronounce those "H"s

it has lots of sections and is not too imtimidating for a complete beginner like myself

Also its small enough to carry oround in your pocket
