Capurgana to Cartagena

I am coming from Panama via Puerto Obardia to Capurgana, and eventually to Cartagena.

I have the logistics worked out thanks to previous posts, but have a few further questions:

1. Is the bus from Turbo to Cartagena still considered safe? Safe enough to consider an overnight bus?

2. Any suggestions of things to do for a week in the general Capurgana area?

3. Is the pacific coast worth visiting if I chose to skip a repeat visit to Cartagena? Is it accessible from Caprgana/Turbo? If so, please give me any recommendations of pacific beaches to visit.

I am an experienced traveler and familiar with Colombia, but am also an obvious, sandal wearing Gringo with a lap top, two bags, and a tennis racket....so am not to light on my feet for bus switches.

Thanks for any advice, and you can check out my blog about my last visit in Colombia if you are interested in my attempts at witty writing and cultural insight....hopefully you'll like it more than Simon did.

Yeah, the night bus is safe, nowadays there is a lot of militar presence and they have all under control.

At Capurganá you can go to the big stone (i think is called "la piedra del diablo" or something alike, i don't remember too god but the people surely will tell you. Just yesterday i wrote this about Capurganá, maybe you could find it useful:

The pacific coast is awesome, you must go to Ladrilleros, is great, also there are a lot of villages but the coolest one for my taste is Ladrilleros.

But, about all that things that you're carring with you... hum... i think that the tennis racket could be better in you home, also the laptop... i don't know, i just don't like go out with all those things.
But it's up to you.
Anyway, hope you enjoy Capurganá.

:) Diana.
