AVIANCA, GO F YOURSELVES

i just told avianca to go fok themselves. why?
they show no respect to their founding fathers, barranquilla!!!!!
I'm collecting on my free round trip (avianca plus mileage chit ) and this will be the last time i use this modefoques.
they don't have or have any plans of doing direct flights to baranquilla from NYC
They have direct flights to medellin, cali, pereira, bucaramanga, pasto, santander, every fokin hell hole in colombia but not to their founding fathers land and most important city in colombia, curramba.
to avianca i says, go fok yourselves !!!
Is it our fault that my cachaco brothers would rather live anywhere BUT colombia.
so what if we ony have a handfull of barranquilleros in NYC, show some respect.
how dare you!!

"guy suggested i fly FROM NYC to cali " (Elmo)
and you said NO to this fantastic offer to get to spend some time in the lovely Sultana del Valle? You coud've made it to a layover and gone to Chipi Chape Mall to see the most beautiful women of Colombia sell fast food at the Food Court or shopping for a new pair of spandex jeans. You may have even encountered a bunch of PBHers there, pasty and pale, but with their eyes alive.

Well, from their point of view, it's just a financial decision. How full have your flights from NY to BAQ typically been? NY winter is too damn cold... I'm amazed anyone from any part of Colombia would voluntarily spend February there (I wouldn't).

i might be avianca's number one costumer.
outta stupid patriotism i've chosen avianca over cheaper airlines since i began visitin colombia back in 1972.
There were moments when they had direct flights to barranquilla, not any more.
they told all barranquilleros to go fok themselves.
when i was younger i did not mind too much that horrific tiresome trip to bogota and then back to barranquilla. this chit took the entire day.
but now i'm way too fokin old to travel for so long. It takes me a couple days to recover.
once again, i will never place my old dried up black ass on a avianca seat, until they decide to show us respect and have at least one flight a week directly to barranquilla

thank you , now is pass my bedtime

Sounds like you are snevling. Fess up and pay the price. Just like everyone else do's. No use crying over spilled milk. Won't do no good. I know Avianca don't care. That's why they went to another route. One that people will fess up. Dig deep, and come up with the coins. Imagine how many stops/transfers I have to make to get to Cali from Alaska. Takes 15-24 hrs.

Well.

As opposed to spending $300 r/t on a BOG-BAQ Avianca route, I decided to spend that $300 on a Spirit Air Ft. Lauderdale (FLL)-Cartagena (CTG) r/t this time down. Saving me over $250 on my total trip from ATL.

With other options available, I agree. F--- Avianca and their 200% price increase in the BOG-BAQ route.

briarblue says on Aug 27, 2008, 09:28:

I just flew Avianca from MIA - CTG and back and enjoyed the change from Spirit. I was able to get a ticket for $358 roundtrip, which inlcuded everything (checked bag, seat, in-flight meal).

The big difference was the amount of time spent in checking-in to get your boarding pass. Avianca in MIA took all of 15 minutes and under an hour in CTG. I've spent close to two hours on two different ocassions waiting in line to receive a boarding pass at FLL using Spirit, and over an hour each time on the CTG end.

I also bought a ticket for mid-September MIA-CTG on Avianca for $306. I've come to the conclusion that unless I can save at least $100 or more, I prefer to fly Avianca out of MIA versus Spirit out of FLL.

Hey mode, welcome back but at the bottom of your posts it says "...5million Colombianos and only 27 from Barranquilla..." hence, mode, no direct flights from NYC to Baranquilla except for xmas time when 270 or so want to go to Baranquilla.

So it is simple, you fly JFK to Bogota and make a connection or you do it in Miami.

Avianca is totally upgrading their fleet I LOVECIDY. New A-320's, A-330's, and 10 BOEING 787 dreamliners. The bought some used but decent Fokker aircraft for you modefoque get it Fokker Dutch aircraft...modeFOKKER....laugh! That is a joke.

Avianca is much improved over the last 5 to 10 years. New owner. New investments.

I still prefer AA and BOEING.

Why don't you stop complaining and try COPA from major cities in USA, ie, IAD, JFK, to BAQ, MDE, BOG, CLO via Panama, great connections, fast and an excellent airline with new planes and very professional staff, also courteous and helpful. Airport in Panama easy to get around, not the mess in Miami or other gateways in the US. I have advised previously to fly them, I have, and will continue to use them. Good fares as well.
