thanks my friends I can honestly say
that a large part of where I am today with Angelica
came from the support, silliness and great information
that I received on this site.

Thank you Peter, I am certain that I could not have done this if I had not stumbled here by accident.

The rest of the credit goes to Angelica, she wanted this bad enough to endure the hurdles that immigration made her go through and do it with patience.

She IS bringing Danny, her son. Although it seems like a better idea to let him stay back a couple months so she can acclimate, a friend pointed out that you never REALLY catch up in marriage. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Besides, if I start missing my puppydogs after 3 weeks, I cant even imagine what she would go through leaving him for 2 months.

where is that guy that is selling air miles? I need two tickets hehe.

Thanks guys! I will refrain from being bratty today in celebration!!

isaactraveler says on Dec 17, 2004, 04:21:

thanks miguel hey lionheart...

I posted her pic (after making sure it was ok) because of someones post asking about pretty girls there. Also, you never know, someone here may want to meet her, and I wont have to pay for her eventual ticket to come to the states heheheheh.

Seriously though, she is beautiful but very vain. Probably her age, since half the time i was with her I was thinking "Wow she is sexy". And the other half I was thinking "damn, she is suCH a child"

Every one of her girlfriends are the same. It is all about cleavage and hair. I wasnt complaining but I will take Angelica's maturity and comfort with her physical appearance any day. She has 'Been there, done that'

Congratulations I know what happy you are and good you feel, I remember when they approved mine.

I would suggest you, that she come without her soon, in that way you guys can share and know better. She can know her new life, because for the boy wont want to be apart of his mom and you need time alone.

Enjoy!!!

Congrats I am very happy for you! I am very happy for you! I just recently started dating a Colombian girl myself, she lives in Circasia (just outside of Armenia, small world). After reading all the postings here about the nightmares of Visas I am so glad to read some nice nerws like yours. I am in the process of trying to get my girlfriend a tourist visa, so that she can visit me and get to meet my parents. I have an interview setup for her in March and now I am just trying to get all the documentation in order.

ISSAC How long did it take? I am married and living in Portugal with my wife from Colombia. We filed about 18 months ago and we have a case number that they say averages 8 weeks for review. After that we will have to get three police report and as you know get threw a bunch of B.S. I will be moving back to the U.S. in Sep so I am starting to worry... Any comforting comments?

Documentation for Tourist Visa First yes Miguel you are correct Colorado as in the United States and thanks for the congrats on the girlfriend, she is a very nice girl and very patient with my horrible spanish.

When I called to arrange her (my girlfriends) Visa Interview at the Embassy I was told that along with the Visa application she needed to provide documentation showing how she was paying for the trip to the US and also provide documentation showing that she intends to return to Colombia after the trip as well. I am not sure what we will provide for the finances of the trip since I am paying for her trip out here. As far as the intention to return, we are going to provide emplyment records in Colombia, her University class schedule, documents showing ownership of property, and financial records as well. I will be sure and keep everyone here posted on how this all turns out. It is all new to me as well, so if anyone else here as info on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think we should start another message line just for this matter since this message post is to congratulate Isaac on his fiancee coming to the states!

HI Sacramento Saint. Sorry I missed your question. In fact, your situation is pretty different from mine. I went through the beaurocratic process of getting a fiancee visa. That is a bit different from what I think you are doing. I think you are getting a K1 visa right?

Someone posted here (I think it was Utopiacowboy) that it is much quicker and easier to get, depending on your location, and who is a citizen and of where. Does she have citizenship in Portugal? I am not sure if she has to return to talk to the embassy in Colombia or not.

BEst I can tell you , is be patient. you will never hear from BCIS, until you hear from them. Up to the point that they sent a confirmation letter approving my application, I was certain the whole package was lost.

Good luck to you.

BTW everyone: I have been pretty patient while waiting to find out if she was going to get her visa.. now it is almost impossible to wait one month, since the only obstacle is buying the plane tickets. GAH!! the excitement level increases!
